This is the online home of our Family and the most stable home we currently have.

Since 2020 we’ve had to live a rather uncomfortable and very complicated life, because the law in our home country France, suddenly changed. We used to be able to home school our children in peace and in the comfort of our own home, in freedom and in faith. Then the president suddenly decided “no more freedom peeps!”. He literally said “Our children should be protected from religion” so that was it. The end of home schooling and unsupervised private school curriculums were banned, small schools like Montessori were shut down and the children suddenly belonged to the state, and so did the curriculums that they were supposed to learn!

When your entire life is turned upside down like that in a split second, and you find yourself as a parent who definitely do not wish to comply or accept that the state suddenly believes that your children belongs to something as Godforsaken as the system.

Then there is no way around it, it’s time to leave. So we have had to leave our homes most of the year ever since. Traveling around, not because we wanted to but because parents like us who didn’t want to comply and who stayed rooted in France, they faced prosecution, they experienced law enforcement knocking on their doors several times a month, they experienced having their kids taken away by social services. To top up the “greatness” of the state, parents are going to prison for 6 months – 2 years if they stay firm in their beliefs. The state even send them fines of up to 50,000 euros on top of that.

So the punishment of disobedience for middleclass folks, who believe they actually have the right to decide certain things for themselves is either, to be a nomad or to go to jail! That is Freedom for ya!!!

What a “lovely” place Europe has turned into, a communist place, where faith has no place and this is a persecution that mostly affects Christians, since it is mostly Christian parents that home school their children in France and it is the same in many other EU countries.

The past 5 years we have been forced to leave our homes in France behind and travel 6-9 months a year, because of this home schooling ban. Some people don’t seem to understand why, it’s so lovely in France, right? Why don’t you just put your children in school then?

Life must be easy for those who always obey the state.

However, we don’t believe this is right for our family, we want the freedom to home school and we know that this is the only right thing for our family, we have never put our children in private or public institutions and we don’t want to do that either. The schools here are forced to follow state curriculums, because the state wants all kids to know the same woke story, to have no faith, no individual learning curves and no actual freedom. So no, we can’t just put our children in school, that is not how we live and if we should be able to call ourselves citizens of a free country, we should at least be able to decide how we want to live as a family, right?

We do not believe in this newfound culture of separation, that has been promoted by the state since the early 20th century. Do whatever you find right for you and your family and accept that others might choose differently. We just know that this modern way of life doesn’t suit us.

The legislative change happened shortly after we bought our family homes, as in only a few months after. (I still pray that the Lord will help us to get a job, a home and a life in the States, where we would be allowed to live the life we wish to live, all year round). It has become very difficult for us to live this way, we naturally miss a stable Home, as well as a Church Home and a Community that believes in personal freedom and who’s anchored in Christ, none of this is possible to have in Europe. Europe has changed and stakeholder communism thrives here. It is impossible for us to find a new life here, believe me we’ve tried for years, but Europe is not pro freedom, it is pro digital control, surveillance and Superpro a Godless culture.

So… we keep praying for that miracle to happen. This reality of ours is stressful, heart breaking, isolating and extremely destructive, so that’s why I call www.theholyfood.co our most stable home, because it is always there for me no matter where I am in the world, I can write and share things here that I would wish I could share every single day, with people in real life if only our life was different…

If you know someone who can be of any help, someone who has a job for Zac in the US, Zac has been trained as a pro athlete since the age of 2. He has played multiple sports at Pro level in Europe (Ice Hockey, Inline Hockey & Football), he’s a Marketing Economist and is currently studying a Bachelor in International Trade & Marketing. I pray the right people will find us and help us out of our predicament, we just want a legal solution, a new place to call home and a community that will match our values in life, if you might know someone or if you are that one person who might be able to help us, then please do not hesitate to contact us here! Unfortunately we aren’t well off and we cannot sell our homes since they are co-owned, so we can’t just buy us into a new life, what we can do is; work hard, help out with our hands and with our creativity and we are more than willing to do exactly that!

Living like we do, makes it very difficult to make and earn a good living and to create real things, so we need help from others and we acknowledge that.

This is our very real sob story, it is our worldly reality and our daily struggle. Yet another reason why I enjoy writing this blog. Simply because it gives me at least one place where I can get some stability in our very unstable worldly life, even though I do know that the only true stability is found in our Lord, Christ Jesus.

Ever since I was born, I have been creative. This has been obvious through my sense for aesthetics and my work in the following fields: Styling, fashion, beauty, design, branding, art, photography, baking and cooking.

However, I have spent the last decade home schooling our children as well as developing a ton of recipes. “Real food” recipes, I have pretty much converted any dish I ever knew and made them into “from scratch” versions, without using additives/pre-fab products.

Even though we have a very stressful life “travel/creation/money/soul wise” we still make 97% of what we eat ourselves, from scratch. So yes, I am the type who brings my einkorn sourdough, in our suitcase on a trip to the states and share it with sweet and new friends, whenever possible.

We also enjoy sourcing phenomenal food products, like the best salt, chocolates and other things, wherever we go and travel and sometimes we sell our favorite finds in our shop.

Since 2022, I have created an honest and luxurious skincare line Maison Frost, made of completely pure and raw ingredients. Based on animal fats, such as clover/grass-fed tallow and emu oil, maybe that’s exactly why you found us, who knows? My products are created from the best ingredients, I make the beef tallow myself from organic grass/clover-fed cows. All products are made in prayer and that part is extremely important to me! I only formulate when I am at peace in one of our homes, where we have built facilities for the formulation process.

I write our blog and develop the recipes you find here myself. However, it is important for me to point out, that I only do this, because God helps me with it. Without God I am nothing and it is a good thing to remember, even if you happen to believe otherwise. It gives me great peace of mind that I do not have to take too much credit for things, because I do not need it. My identity does not lie in my ego nor in my worldly pursuits, or the indoctrinated brands I could give myself as (a wife, mother, stylist, baker, chef, photographer, blogger, etc.), my identity is in Christ and having come to that conclusion, has saved me from a lot of trouble that would’ve made my life even more difficult than it already is.

If it’s not obvious, I’ll just remember to mention that we are a Christian family. That means that this page was not created to find greatness nor pride, but simply as a place where others can find advice and inspiration if they need it and to share the good news.

Jesus is the King of Kings and he loves you infinitely! How great is that?

If you aren’t a Christian, then you’re just as welcome here, but you must accept that I share my love for Jesus, who is the only way to salvation! He helps me every day to create recipes and products, that make other people happy. He gives me thousands of ideas, creates miracles for my family and saves us time and time again. But most importantly, he gives me a serene peace, in the midst of worldly chaos.

P.S. You might wonder, why we call it The Holy Food Co. Well… It was actually our 4 year old daughter who came up with the name, during our last trip to the states, we usually shopped our groceries at Whole Foods. One day when we had to go shopping our daughter said “are we going to Holy Foods mom?” and she just kept calling it Holy Foods ever since, so when I had to translate my Danish blog to this one, we decided to call it The Holy Food Co., not because we are making holy foods, but because it was too cute to miss out on!
